Project Katherine is a New Jersey Non-Profit Organization
dedicated to improving the quality of life for adoptive
families, focusing on International Adoptions, by providing
education and support to pre and post adoptive parents, and
raising awareness in the medical, education and legislative
communities. Project Katherine seeks to meet the needs of our
diverse adoption community and improve the health and quality of
life of post institutional children and their families here in
New Jersey and society at large.
We Teach
future adoptive parents what
they must know before they adopt, including but not limited to
Risk Assessment, Travel Preparation, Post Adoption Needs, How to
work with your HealthCare professionals.
We Support
pre and post adoptive families through outreach, parent to
parent counseling and through referrals to health care
professionals experienced with post institutional children.
We Seek
ways to prevent and treat adoptions most serious
problems through constant contact with pre and post adoptive
families and medical professionals specializing in caring for
post institutional children.
We Care
by providing and coordinating volunteer service to the adoption
community at large with a goal to only improve the quality of
life for the adopted child and their family.
We
are Project Katherine New Jersey's Non-Profit Adoption and Post
Institutional child Awareness advocates. |
